Where are all of the 18 year olds? Does the sector have a cost of learning or a cost of living crisis? Are students best prepared for university finances and whose responsibility is it to ensure they understand the investment they’re making in both fees and budget planning?

Despite the long-predicted swell in 18-year-old demographics, we are not seeing this reflected in the application numbers. UCAS show that this cohort grew by only 2.8% in 2024 – sluggish at best. So why are they not applying?

Join IDP for an exploratory session into the numbers and offer some guidance as to how we, as marketers, can help change the narrative.
