Steve Stark is the founder of ThenSomehow, a consultancy focused on helping higher education institutions improve workplace culture, leadership and organisational effectiveness. Since founding the business in 2014 Steve has worked with universities across the UK, using data-driven insight to uncover the hidden levers that influence performance, behaviour and collaboration. Through consultancy, leadership programmes and digital tools he helps teams and individuals build stronger relationships, navigate complexity and create meaningful change.

Known for his practical, flexible and outcome-focused approach, Steve also founded the Higher Education Leadership Platform (HELP), a community open to anyone in higher education interested in understanding and navigating complex organisations more effectively. He is the author of the Reimagining Leadership in HE newsletter and brings a diverse background spanning broadcast media, entrepreneurship and organisational development. Outside of work Steve runs the cider company Bignose & Beardy, where you’ll often find him making cider on a Friday.
